Chargers Rookie WR Feels at Home With LA & TCU Teammates

Quite the group they have put together here.

Quentin Johnston has been working his entire life for this opportunity in front of him and now that he's here, nothing is about to change. Whether you get picked in the first round or the sixth round, you still get to join an NFL team but Johnston is aware that the Chargers believed in him over other options such as Jordan Addison and Zay Flowers that were still on board.\

Therefore, he's wasted no time and immediately has gotten to work with the rest of his teammates as the Bolts have kicked off their optional preseason workouts. Seeing Johnston running routes and showing off some incredible has them amped and he isn't even catching passes from Justin Herbert yet.

Obviously, Johnston's number one dream has been granted and that is to be able to play football at the highest level possible but he also has it quite better than other rookies. How many other players can say they were drafted to the same professional team as two of their other college teammates in the same year?

TCU just won a national championship in 2022 and outside of just Johnston, LA was blown away by the performances from Derius Davis and Max Duggan. Therefore, they could not pass up the opportunity to keep that core together.

And Johnston is loving lacing up his cleats with them once again.

"This is what Johnston said about being back on the field with Duggan and Davis: “Almost feels identical. I go out there and see the same guy lined up next to me and the same guy in the backfield; it feels like we’re back in Fort Worth again.”
