Defiant Chargers Pro Bowler Endorses Brandon Staley, Despite Him Doing A Terrible Job

In this story:
The Los Angeles Chargers record dropped down to 5-8 on the season after another poor performance against the Denver Broncos this past weekend. LA's slim playoff hopes are pretty much gone, and head coach Brandon Staley's time with the team is almost up.
Chargers star wide receiver Keenan Allen said that he will continue to endorse Staley despite the team struggling mightily.
“Because we go into battle every day with each other,” Allen said, referring to his teammates and the Chargers’ coaching staff. “I love these guys. They love me, you know what I’m saying? Like I say, we go to battle every day together and, you know, we just believe in what we’ve got going on.”

Allen is a true professional through and through. He isn't going to bash his head coach no matter what, and it's a very good look for himself.
Staley is still the head coach of the Chargers for now, so Allen will give him that respect. Staley is likely to be fired at the end of the year barring a miracle turnaround for this team.
Running back Austin Ekeler spoke about the frustration from this season. He knows that it's not a spot that they want to be in this late into the season.
“At this point in the season it’s obviously frustrating,” Chargers running back Austin Ekeler said. “We’re looking at that playoff picture and it’s getting a lot harder for us the more we lose. It’s tough. Part of being in sports is there’s a reality to it. You have a perception of where we want to go."

With quarterback Justin Herbert likely out for the foreseeable future, the Chargers' path is incredibly tough. They will more than likely miss the postseason in what is another wasted season from this franchise.
