FIRST LOOK: NFL, Kansas City Release Renderings and Details for 2023 NFL Draft

Kansas City now has a better idea of what hosting the upcoming NFL Draft will look like.

The Kansas City Chiefs have a pivotal Super Bowl LVII matchup against the Philadelphia Eagles to worry about for this week but once Sunday passes, the front office will begin ramping up efforts in preparation for the 2023 NFL Draft. It was announced last spring that Kansas City was selected as this year's host for one of the NFL's largest events, and there were some new details provided on Friday morning.

With just two days to spare until the Super Bowl, the NFL released the very first renderings of what the 2023 NFL Draft will look like. The draft, held at Union Station and the surrounding area in Kansas City, MO, will run from April 27-29. Here's a look at those renderings, per an initial release from the Kansas City Sports Commission on Twitter:

A stage set up at Union Station will be the central hub of this year's draft, featuring elements such as 2023 NFL Draft branding, a banner in the middle and projector screens at each end of the setup. Chiefs fans may be familiar with a stage fixture at Union Station, as the Chiefs followed a similar outline when they celebrated their Super Bowl LIV win over the San Francisco 49ers. Here's what Kathy Nelson, President and CEO of the Kansas City Sports Commission and Visit KC, had to say about Kansas City hosting the draft back when the plans were first announced:

"This will be one of the biggest and most-anticipated professional sporting events our city has hosted," Nelson said. "Not only will fans from around the country be traveling to experience the NFL Draft and NFL Draft Experience, but millions of viewers will see Kansas City in the national spotlight on NFL Network, ESPN and other major networks."

Those who attend the draft, as the renderings show, will have plenty of space to enjoy it on the lawn of the World War I Museum and Memorial. An NFL Draft Experience featuring opportunities for pictures, autographs and multiple interactive activities will also be present on-site. The Draft Experience is free of charge for everyone, as is the entire three-day draft for anyone in the area. Aspiring attendees are encouraged to download the NFL's OnePass app in advance of April's 2023 NFL Draft.
