Cowboys Power Rankings & Injury Report: Healthy for Week 3?

The Cowboys are getting healthy and have drawn the attention of the experts as Week 3 approaches in the NFL.

The Dallas Cowboys have enjoyed the hottest start of the 2023 NFL season, knocking off the New York Giants and New York Jets by a combined score of 70-10 in the first two weeks of play.

Where does this performance land them in comparison to the rest of the league? That's where power rankings come in. ... and the respect arrives right at the same time as a positive-looking injury/practice report ...

Pro Football Talk recently released its power rankings for the upcoming Week 3 of the NFL season, and in its eyes, no one is in a better spot than Dallas in the early portion of the league schedule.

PFT's top 10 in the power rankings can be found below.

1. Dallas Cowboys (2-0)

2. San Francisco 49ers (2-0)

3. Miami Dolphins (2-0)

4. Philadelphia Eagles (2-0)

5. Kansas City Chiefs (1-1)

6. Baltimore Ravens (2-0)

7. Buffalo Bills (1-1)

8. Jacksonville Jaguars (1-1)

9. New York Jets (1-1)

10. Seattle Seahawks (1-1)

There are a few notable takeaways from this list. First, it's obvious that the league has taken notice of Dallas' dominant start to the season, but it's also worth noting that its division rival in Philadelphia is just a few spots behind. The Jets, who were dismantled by Dallas 30-10 last week, also cracked the top 10, despite being without quarterback Aaron Rodgers who tore his achilles in Week 1 on Monday Night Football.

Could the Cowboys be on their way to another dominating performance in Week 3? Vegas seems to think so as Dallas is currently favored by 11.5 points against the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday according to the SI SportsBook. And what will help that cause? The planned good health of Brandin Cooks, Zack Martin, Tyler Smith and Donovan Wilson, among other things. (Read more here.)
