'We Erupted!' Cowboys React as Zack Martin Practices at Camp: FIRST LOOK

In this story:
All is right in the "America's Team'' world as Zack Martin is back at practice with the Dallas Cowboys.
Martin ended his three-week holdout Monday after a meeting with Cowboys owner Jerry Jones resulted in a new deal that will guarantee him $36 million over the next two seasons, which is an approximately $8.5 million increase from what he was set to make in 2023-24.
"When we got the news yesterday in the offensive staff meeting, the room erupted, so a lot of high-fives and hugs all day and night yesterday once he got in," head coach Mike McCarthy said of Martin's return. "It shows you what he means to us and what he means to our football team, especially offense. But, it is business. This is part of our industry. We're about connecting and what we need to do to win, and he's a big part of that."

Martin returned to practice Tuesday and was immediately back in the first-team offensive line rotation with tackles Tyron Smith and Terence Steele, center Tyler Biadasz and fellow guard Tyler Smith.
The Indianapolis native posted a simple three-word message on X Monday after he agreed to his restructured deal.
"Back to work," Martin said.
Martin is one of the best guards in the NFL, earning eight Pro Bowl nods and six First Team All-Pro bids in his nine-year career. In 2014, the first-round pick was second in the Offensive Rookie of the Year voting.
McCarthy said Martin's value extends beyond just what he can do between the lines on Sundays — but he does that pretty well, too.
"His training's top-notch," McCarthy said. "He's super consistent, humble. He pays it forward, helps young guys, has excellent relationships throughout the building. Other than that, when he puts his hand in the ground, he's really good. He just does everything right."
