Running back De'Von Achane was perhaps the most electrifying rookie in the NFL in 2023, and now he's got a chance to be recognized by fans as the best.

Achane was named Tuesday as one of six nominees for the Pepsi Zero Sugar Rookie of the Year award, to be voted on by fans.

The other nominees are Houston Texans QB C.J. Stroud, Detroit Lions RB Jahmyr Gibbs, Lions TE Sam LaPorta, Atlanta Falcons RB Bijan Robinson and Los Angeles Rams WR Puka Nacua.

The voting will go on through Feb. 2 at NFL.com/rookies and the winner will be recognized The 2023 Pepsi Zero Sugar NFL Rookie of the Year award winner will be recognized during Super Bowl Week in Las Vegas and presented with a custom, Pepsi Zero Sugar-themed trophy.

ACHANE'S BRILLIANT ROOKIE SEASON

The Dolphins' third-round pick out of Texas A&M, Achane rushed for 800 yards on only 103 carries with an insane 7.8 per-carry average.

That set a new NFL record for the Super Bowl era, breaking the previous mark of 6.4 by the Dolphins' own Mercury Morris in 1973.

Achane had four 100-yard rushing performances, including a three-game stretch that began with a 203-yard outing in the historic 70-20 blowout of the Denver Broncos in the home opener in Week 3.

For good measure, Achane also had 27 receptions for 197 yards.

Achane finished with 11 total touchdowns, tying for second-most ever for a Dolphins rookie with Karim Abdul-Jabbar in 1996. The team record is 13, set by Ron Davenport i 1985.
