Eagles Draft Target? Bijan Robinson Has Only Met 2 Teams in Person

It now becomes difficult to completely eliminate the Philadelphia Eagles from the Bijan Robinson sweepstakes when they're in this exclusive of a club.

Only one more week left before the constant draft debate surrounding the Philadelphia Eagles can finally end.

The Eagles keep getting brought up in rumors connecting them to a running back with the No. 10 overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft. Naturally, the attention goes to Texas Longhorns running back Bijan Robinson, who is regarded as one of the top play-makers in the draft.

The 10th pick might be too high to risk on a running back, especially with the No. 30 selection waiting for Philly later in the first round. Robinson would almost certainly be gone by then, making it hard to see the dominoes falling in the Eagles' favor.

But Robinson revealed in an appearance on The Dan Patrick Show that the Eagles and Tampa Bay Buccaneers are the only teams that he's met with in person.

The other 30 teams? He's spoken to many of them via Zoom, but they haven't earned a face-to-face draft visit with him for whatever reason. This comes off as a bit surprising for the top running back in the class, but is obviously not a direction indication that his landing spots are this limited.

It now becomes difficult to completely eliminate the Eagles from the Robinson sweepstakes when they're in this exclusive of a club. But it doesn't take much for any of the other teams to swipe him up despite having the minimal advantage of meeting him in person.

The winner of the 2022 Doak Walker Award this past season, which annually honors the nation's best running back, Robinson led the Big 12 in carries (258), rushing yards (1,580) and rushing touchdowns (18) during the regular season. He also led the nation with 1,894 total scrimmages yards (1,580 rushing, 314 receiving) and was second in total touchdowns (20).

However, his game-changing athleticism and all-around offensive ability go beyond the numbers. Whichever way you slice it, the Eagles can call themselves winners if they find a way to land Robinson, even if it means taking him a bit earlier than expected.
