Eagles WATCH: C.J. Gardner-Johnson Rips Philly Fans: 'F****** Obnoxious!'

Former Philadelphia Eagles defensive back C.J. Gardner-Johnson pulled no punches when discussing Philadelphians on a recent live stream.

Former Philadelphia Eagles defensive back C.J. Gardner-Johnson spent just one season in the City of Brotherly Love, and based on recent comments, that may have been in his best interest.

While live streaming on Twitch Wednesday night, Gardner-Johnson was asked by a viewer what his favorite and least favorite part about Philadelphia was. When discussing his least favorite aspect of the city, the former Eagles safety had a NSFW response and didn't pull any punches about its residents.

"My least favorite thing ... is the people," Gardner-Johnson said. "They’re f**king obnoxious, I f*****g can’t stand the f******.”

Eagles fans are known for being very passionate, for lack of a better word, which has drawn some strong reactions across the NFL. Look no further than the San Francisco 49ers' string of complaints after their NFC Championship Game loss in January for such reactions. However, it's rare for those reactions to come from current or former Eagles themselves.

After an offseason trade from the New Orleans Saints, Gardner-Johnson was actually great for Philadelphia in his lone season there. He played and started 12 games while posting 67 tackles, eight passes defended and six interceptions, tied for the most in the league. His addition was a big reason why the Eagles finished first in passing defense and tied for fourth in takeaways. He clearly still has some fondness for the Eagles, as he recently claimed they would've won Super Bowl LVII with better field conditions.

Following his strong performance, Gardner-Johnson signed a one-year deal worth $8 million with the Detroit Lions in March. The 25-year-old safety is a notorious trash-talker, so now that he's no longer with the Eagles, they and their fans seem to be fair game.

Gardner-Johnson's Lions don't play the Eagles this season, but if they were to meet, perhaps in a potential playoff game, he may not get a warm welcome from the Philadelphia faithful.
