The last month of football hasn't been the smoothest for the Philadelphia Eagles, but they are getting some major reinforcements back to end the year.

The injury bug has hit the Philadelphia Eagles hard at times in 2023.

Luckily for the reigning NFC Champions, they seem to be getting healthy at just the right time to try and defend their conference crown.

In their last injury report before the team faces off against the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday, the Eagles did not have any injury designations for guard Landon Dickerson, and cornerback Avonte Maddox, setting both up for a potential return against Arizona. However, fans will have to wait until Maddox gets officially taken off of injured reserve ahead of kickoff.

Dickerson missed Philadelphia's 33-25 win over the New York Giants due to undergoing thumb surgery the week prior. It will be the first time the Eagles offensive line has their full core of starters from Week 1 since their loss to the Dallas Cowboys three weeks ago.

In Maddox's case, the Eagles were concerned they had lost their starting slot corner when he suffered a torn pec in Week 2's win over the Minnesota Vikings. Maddox, instead could be in the starting lineup when the Eagles and Cardinals face off - an important addition to a secondary that is still without Darius Slay who underwent knee surgery three weeks ago.

Maddox and Dickerson's likely return means that the Eagles will have 19 of their original 22 starters that began the 22 season and were a part of a unit that started 10-1 before dropping three in a row. That number could increase as well with linebacker Nicholas Morrow all expected to return after he missed the win over New York with a Abdomen injury.

Only linebacker Zach Cunningham and reserve tight end Albert Okwuegbunam are listed as questionable leading into Sunday.

If the Eagles were to beat the Cardinals on Sunday, and if the Detroit Lions defeat the Cowboys on Saturday, Philadelphia would win the NFC East for the second straight year - the first repeat division champion in the East since the Eagles did it in 2003 and 2004.

Getting back some excellent starters will not only help on Sunday but also for another playoff run for the Birds.
