Draft rumors should always be taken with the largest grain of salt possible, but here's an interesting one regarding the Philadelphia Eagles

According to Tony Pauline of The Draft Network, Howie Roseman and the Eagles are bullish on Northwestern edge rusher Adetomiwa Adebawore:

“I'm told that Howie Roseman absolutely loves the guy,” Pauline writes. “So Adebawore is one of those guys [to watch], and we see a lot of strange things happen late in Round 1. He's got the measurables ... he's got the athleticism ... he's smart as a whip, I sat and talked to him for about 30 minutes at the combine."

Pauline notes that Adebawore doesn't have the back-of-the-football-card statistics of someone like Pitt’s Calijah Kancey, who has consistently been linked to the Eagles in the pre-draft process. Adebawore recorded 24.5 tackles for a loss, 12.5 sacks and four forced fumbles in four seasons at Northwestern. That's nothing to scoff at, but it doesn't jump off the page when you're talking about a first-round pick.

However, Adebawore is slightly bigger than Kancey in terms of height and weight, and comfortably tops him in terms of arm length and hand size. Size is a skill that can't be taught.

The other thing worth noting when comparing the two edge rushers is that it's entirely possible by the time that Roseman and the Eagles are on the clock for their second pick at No. 30, Kancey could be gone. Meanwhile, Adebawore will almost certainly be available with pick 30, and it's even possible the Eagles could move down into the early second round and still take the former Wildcat.
