Falcons UDFA Signings: Who's Most Likely to Make Atlanta's Roster?

The Atlanta Falcons only signed six undrafted free agents - but which one has the best chance to make the final roster?

Following the 2023 NFL Draft, the Atlanta Falcons agreed to terms with six undrafted free agents.

The following players will compete at rookie minicamp and attempt to make the Falcons' final 53-man roster over the summer ...

- Buffalo receiver Justin Marshall

- Oklahoma Baptist receiver Keilahn Harris

- Rice defensive end Ikenna Enechukwu

- Southeastern Louisiana running back Carlos Washington Jr.

- LSU linebacker Mike Jones

- Henderson State receiver Xavier Malone

But which one is most likely to find their way onto the playing field? According to Pro Football Network's Ian Cummings, the answer is Marshall.

"The Falcons’ receiving corps, outside of Drake London, is still essentially wide open, and Justin Marshall has the profile to take advantage," writes Cummings. "He fits Arthur Smith’s mold at WR, standing at 6’2″, (205) pounds, with 33″ arms, 4.41 speed, and elite testing explosiveness."

A native of Conyers, Ga., Marshall graduated from Newton High School and spent five seasons at the University of Louisville, including started 12 games in 2021.

This past season, Marshall led Buffalo with 64 receptions for 837 yards and nine touchdowns while starting all 13 games. He had a private workout with the Falcons during the pre-draft process.

At his pro day, Marshall ran a 4.48 40-yard dash and recorded a 38-inch vertical jump, 10'6" broad jump and 7.15-second three-cone.

Marshall, 23, has direct ties to the Falcons' coaching staff, as his offensive coordinator at Louisville in 2020 was Dwayne Ledford, who's now Atlanta's offensive line coach. Marshall played in 10 games with three starts during that season, hauling in seven passes for 87 yards.

If it's not Marshall, Enechukwu was floated as an honorable mention candidate after a strong week in front of Atlanta's coaches at the East-West Shrine Bowl.

However, with the Falcons' receivers room largely up for grabs behind Drake London, Mack Hollins and Scotty Miller, one of the receivers appears to have the best odds - and it could just be Marshall in his return home.
