New York Giants rookie quarterback Jaxson Dart and his teammate badly needed this one. They were more than tired of dealing with the agony that built a nine-game losing streak and took out their frustrations with a dominant 34-10 road victory over the Las Vegas Raiders.

Dart was sensational, just a week after struggling through his worst game of the season in losing to the Minnesota Vikings. He riddled the Raiders, going 22-of-30 (for a season-best 73% completion mark) for 207 yards and compiling 48 yards and two touchdowns on nine carries.

"I was confident that we as a team were going to bounce back and play better," Dart said. "I knew that I was going to play better this week, and I liked the game plan. I felt like we got into a flow early and kind of just controlled the game from there on out. We were just super balanced, and, yeah, it definitely felt good."

Interim head coach Mike Kafka, who earned his first NFL victory in six tries, was sure Dart would rebound, and the game plan reflected the Giants' confidence in their quarterback.

"He's always attacked head-on, and he's always detected with the right approach and a growth mindset to understand he's going to get better," Kafka said. "Any kind of coaching

points we've given him, he's attacked in practice, he's attacked in the drills, and his individual periods applied to the practice.

"Then when you see a game like this, watch him show his footwork, and the phases and his

processing speed up in the game, that's why we have those things for him. I'm proud of how he responded, and again, I'm excited for him and excited for the players."

Dart's connection with Wan'Dale Robinson continued to impress as the receiver tied his career-high with 11 receptions for 113 yards--his fourth career 100-yard game--and surpassed the 1,000-yard plateau for the season.

"I have all the confidence in the world in him, and I know that he can beat any coverage," Dart said. "And he's just a guy that competes at such a high level. So, when you just

have that trust with a guy out there, and you can make checks on plays to get him on a little option route ... "
