For once, the Jacksonville Jaguars can enter the NFL Draft with some suspense.

The Jaguars knew in each of the last two drafts who they would select with the No. 1 overall pick, taking Trevor Lawrence and Travon Walker in back-to-back years. Now, with the Jaguars picking at No. 24, there is some real mystique surrounding how the Jaguars could attack the first-round.

The Jaguars have picked in the top-10 in each of the last four drafts, selecting Walker and Lawrence No. 1 overall, CJ Henderson No. 9, and Josh Allen No. 7.

Jacksonville has never picked No. 24 in a draft. The closest they came was picking No. 25 overall on two different occasions: taking safety Donovin Darius in 1998 and running back Travis Etienne in 2021.

This time around, the options are endless. The Jaguars could look to bolster the tight end room or the interior offensive line. They could add a cornerback or a young pocket-pusher in the form of a defensive tackle.

Or they could invest in their pass-rush, something general manager Trent Baalke did last year by selecting Walker. If the Jaguars were to go in that direction and double-dip at the all-important position, Reese's Senior Bowl Executive Director Jim Nagy has a sleeper name who makes sense.

At 24, if you're looking EDGE, a guy that had a great week down here that I think is going to be a first round pick; now we had like an early second round grade here, I think he's gonna end up in the first is Derick Hall from Auburn," Nagy said during an interview on the 'Frangie Show' on 1010XL.

"Big, powerful, fast in a straight line. Had a really good week in one on ones, had a really good week that the edge."

If Hall's name looks familiar, it is because we mocked him to the Jaguars in the second round a week ago. With Hall having a big week in Mobile, however, he certainly looks like a player who could rise into the first-round with a good performance at the NFL Scouting Combine.

Hall, who recorded 19.5 sacks, five forced fumbles, and 28 tackles for loss over the last three seasons, could give the Jaguars another young pass-rusher to develop alongside Walker and Allen. The Jaguars will be in the market, too, since last year's pass-rush group will likely not be intact due to Dawuane Smoot's season-ending Achilles injury.

Jacksonville had one of the top pressure rates in football last year but finished the season ranked 26th in sacks and 29th in adjusted sack rate due to their inability to convert pressures into sacks. Taking Hall at No. 24 could potentially go a long way toward flipping that trend.
