2023 NFL Draft: Louisville Pass-Rusher Yaya Diaby Set To Visit Jaguars

The Jacksonville Jaguars have made a few things clear this draft cycle. Most importantly, they have shown that they have their eyes set heavily on this year's crop of pass-rushers.
In a timeframe where the Jaguars have also hosted pass-rushers Nolan Smith and Byron Young for visits, along with pro day attendances for Keion White and Will McDonald IV, they have followed up with a scheduled top-30 visit for Lousiville pass-rusher Yaya Diaby, according to The Draft Network's Ryan Fowler.

Impressive athlete that lit up the combine running 4.51 at 263 lbs.
Diaby recorded 1.5 sacks in 2020 and 2021 before exploding onto the scene in 2022 with nine sacks and 14 tackles for loss. After starting all 13 games, Diaby was named third-team All-ACC.
Diaby (6-foot-3, 263 pounds) measured at the combine with 33⅞" arms and ran a 4.51 40-yard dash, putting his name on notice in this year's Day 2 edge rusher group.
Jacksonville had one of the highest pressure rates of any defense in 2022 but also registered just 35 sacks, good for the 26th most in the NFL. After losing pass-rusher Arden Key in free agency, it is clear that evaluating this year's pass-rusher class is critical for the Jaguars.
“I think we’ve got to improve our pass rush. I think that’s vital, particularly on third down,” Jaguars head coach Pederson said last week at the NFL's annual owners meetings.
"I thought we were good with the run, we just gotta continue to get better with the run and shore up some things there. I think the passing game is the area we have to look at and address in the offseason, and clean that part of it up."
