Jaguars' 2023 Draft Class Ranked No. 13

The Jacksonville Jaguars selected a franchise-record 13 players in the 2023 NFL Draft. And through the group's first year, there were ups, downs, and everything in between.
But in the grand scheme of things -- and for as much as the 2023 class was maligned at times -- the class was far from the worst rookie group in the NFL.
In an NFL.com ranking of the 2023 draft classes after their rookie year, the Jaguars' class -- which can be found in full below -- was ranked No 13.
- Round 1 (No. 27 overall) — Anton Harrison, OT, Oklahoma
- Round 2 (61) — Brenton Strange, TE, Penn State
- Round 3 (88) — Tank Bigsby, RB, Auburn
- Round 4 (121, from Buccaneers) — Ventrell Miller, LB, Florida
- Round 4 (130, from Bills) — Tyler Lacy, DL, Oklahoma State
- Round 5 (136, from Bears) — Yasir Abdullah, OLB, Louisville
- Round 5 (160, from Giants) — Antonio Johnson, DB, Texas A&M
- Round 6 (185, from Jets) — Parker Washington, WR, Penn State

The teams ranked in front of the Jaguars consisted of the Houston Texans, Pittsburgh Steelers, Los Angeles Rams, Detroit Lions, Green Bay Packers, Seattle Seahawks, Cincinnati Bengals, Buffalo Bills, Tennessee Titans, Arizona Cardinals, Kansas City Chiefs, and the Chicago Bears.
"I really liked our rookie class. I like last year’s rookie class. These guys really stepped up this year, they were asked to do a lot," Jaguars head coach Doug Pederson said at the end of the season. "I thought Tank [Bigsby] really improved as the season went on and you saw yesterday with the kickoff returns and some of the runs, he’s a bright spot. I’m excited about that. Brenton [Strange] the same way, I think we can do more to get him involved offensively. That’s something that we’ll look at this spring.
"Anton [Harrison], heck of a season. He played hurt and banged up and we’ve talked about it in here, he had an edge rusher every week, just about. He held up really well. I know our guys talking about him know that he’s going to be a great player. That’s one we’re excited about. Antonio Johnson, we liked him coming out of training camp, he had the setback with the hamstring. It would’ve been interesting to see how a full season would’ve been with him and his growth, but he’s on the right track, as well. It’s been a good class, a lot of contributors there and I’m looking forward to them helping us in the future.”
