Jaguars Rookie Review: Updates on Each 2023 Draft Pick After Week 14 Loss vs. Browns

The Jacksonville Jaguars have a lot of growing up to do.
Any idea that the Jaguars were among the AFC's elite is gone after back-to-back losses to teams led by backup quarterbacks. After Sunday's 31-27 loss to the Cleveland Browns, the Jaguars now sit at 8-5 and are looking for answers.
To get to where they want to be, the Jaguars will need improved play from the entire roster. What can their rookies do to help them get there? How they performed this week gives us a clue.
1st, No. 27: OT Anton Harrison, Oklahoma
Anton Harrison allowed three pressures on 58 pass-blocking snaps, drawing a tough matchup in Za'Darius Smith. Not many of the pressures led to immediate danger for Trevor Lawrence, though it wasn't quite as impressive as Harrison's performance in the previous two games.
2nd, No. 61: TE Brenton Strange, Penn State
Brenton Strange didn't play in Week 14 due to a foot injury.
3rd, No. 88: RB Tank Bigsby, Auburn
Tank Bigsby played just one snap on Sunday, blocking for Travis Etienne at the goal-line on the play before his touchdown. He won't ever play much when the Jaguars are passing the ball because of issues as a pass-catcher or a blocker.
4th, No. 121: LB Ventrell Miller, Florida
Ventrell Miller is on injured reserve and is not on the active roster.
4th, No. 130: DL Tyler Lacy, Oklahoma State
Tyler Lacy played only 10 snaps, but he did record his second quarterback hit in his last four games and one of the Jaguars' only three quarterback hits on the day. He was the only interior lineman not named Roy Robertson-Harris to record a pressure.
5th, No. 136: EDGE/LB Yasir Abdullah, Louisville
Yasir Abdullah was a healthy scratch in Week 14.
5th, No. 160: DB Antonio Johnson, Texas A&M
Playing only 20% of the snaps, fifth-round defensive back Antonio Johnson was one of the brightest spots for Antonio Johnson. He forced a fumble on a nickel blitz to set up a touchdown, while also breaking up an Amari Cooper catch on third-down.
"Obviously, he showed quite a bit. His ability to blitz, his physicality to tackle, cover, just a player that we’ve seen that out of," Jaguars head coach Doug Pederson said on Monday. "I think the more he plays, the better he’ll get and all of that. He did a nice job yesterday, he was one of the bright spots coming out of the game.”
6th, No. 185: WR Parker Washington, Penn State
It was a mixed bag on Sunday for Parker Washington. On one hand, his 19-yard touchdown catch was arguably the best play any Jaguars' wide receiver made all day. On the other hand, he was clearly not on the same page with Trevor Lawrence on one target for the second week in a row, and he also fumbled in their own territory at the start of the second-half.
“Yeah, the mistakes, they’ve got to minimize those and really eliminate those. We’ve gone too far now into the season. But they’re showing promise, they’re showing why we drafted them," Pederson said.
"Now, this late in the season, these young guys are really going to be called upon based on injury and where you are as a team. The more opportunities they get, this was great for Parker with Christian’s absence, he gets a chance to really sink his teeth into the offense and show what he can do, which he’s done the last couple of weeks, and the same with Antonio [Johnson].”
6th, No. 202: CB Christian Braswell, Rutgers
Christian Braswell is on injured reserve.
6th, No. 208: S Erick Hallett II, Pittsburgh
Erick Hallett is on the practice squad and was not active for Week 14.
7th, No. 226: OL Cooper Hodges, App. State
Cooper Hodges is on injured reserve.
7th, No. 227: DL Raymond Vohasek, UNC
Raymond Vohasek is not on the Jaguars' active roster or practice squad.
7th, No. 240: FB Derek Parish, Houston
Derek Parish is not on the Jaguars' active roster or practice squad.
UDFA: WR Elijah Cooks
Elijah Cooks played seven snaps on Sunday, running three routes and blocking on the other four.
