Currently projected as a sixth-round draft pick, offensive lineman McClendon Curtis is an intriguing NFL prospect.

A three-star recruit out of high school, Curtis took his talents to the Mocs of Chattanooga, where he had a memorable six-year career, including multiple All-SoCon first-team appearances, and over 30 career starts.

What makes Curtis so intriguing is his size and versatility. At 6 foot 6, 325 pounds, with 35-inch arms, 10-inch hands, and a ridiculous 83-inch wingspan, the 23-year-old is a long and massive offensive lineman that utilizes his power and strength to bully smaller defenders and quickly establish position following the snap and win at the first level.

According to The Draft Network’s website, Curtis does struggle with changing direction quickly to stop counter-moves inside and generates some concerns with his footwork and quickness, something that’ll severely hamper him at the second level in the NFL.

By no means is Curtis a perfect prospect, but his experience at both guard and tackle positions make him an intriguing developmental prospect that can line up at multiple spots along the offensive line. Following an impressive Senior Bowl performance, multiple teams have already expressed interest in the 23-year-old.

Justin Melo of The Draft Network reported that Curtis has already met with the Cardinals Jaguars and Saints, with the Jags routinely sending scouts to Chattanooga throughout the season to keep an eye on the versatile offensive lineman.

Versatility is a factor that the Jaguars value highly with their offensive lineman, selecting key cogs Walker Little and Luke Fortner in the past two drafts in large part due to their ability to make an impact at multiple positions.

Expect the Jaguars to heavily consider Curtis in the later rounds of the draft.
