The New York Jets appear to have won the NFL offseason again, at least according to a segment of the betting public.

Since BetOnline unveiled team-by-team NFL win totals late last month, the Jets have attracted a noticeable number of wagers on "Over 9.5 wins." The majority of bettors are banking on New York posting its first double-digit win total since 2015.

The sportsbook announced that the Jets are one of the five most popular "over" choices since the market opened. The Cleveland Browns (8.5), Carolina Panthers (4.5), Tennessee Titans (5.5) and Seattle Seahawks (7.5) joined New York amongst the teams responsible for a bullish sentiment from bettors.

Adding to an offense that expects to have future Hall-of-Fame quarterback Aaron Rodgers at full strength, the Jets acquired three starting offensive linemen and proven receiver Mike Williams. Longtime Dallas Cowboys' left tackle Tyron Smith has been tabbed to protect Rodgers's blindside while former Jet Morgan Moses was brought back to play right tackle. John Simpson, who comes over from the Baltimore Ravens, seemingly slides in as the starting left guard.

"The best thing we can do is put our heads down, and like I said, we gotta go to work. All the feel good stuff in the offseason doesn't matter. Gotta win football games," said Jets' fourth-year head coach Robert Saleh at last month's league meetings.

Without Rodgers, a four-time NFL MVP, and an adequate offensive line, the Jets featured the league's 31st-ranked offense (268.6). New York, which scored no more than one offensive touchdown in 14 of 17 games, allowed sacks on 10.65 percent of pass attempts, ranking 29th out of 32 teams.

The Jets posted a 7-10 record in 2023, good for a third-place finish in the AFC East.

"Obviously, we're all disappointed with the way things worked out a year ago. I don't think anyone's confidence is shook," said Saleh. "I think our players are confident that we'll be able to achieve the things we need to achieve."
