It's always a good time to talk fantasy football even with the bulk of 2023 drafts still about three months away.

The New York Jets employ two skill position players who landed amongst the first 25 selections in Sports Illustrated's latest fantasy football mock draft, which was conducted by analyst Michael Fabiano

During the week following the NFL Schedule release, Fabiano unveiled a 10-round mock draft for a 12-team league that follows a PPR (point-per-reception) scoring format. In all, 120 selections were made as each team acquired 10 players apiece for the upcoming season.

Only two current Jets were amongst the 10 dozen selections, but they both went off the board early.

Vikings' receiver Justin Jefferson was the No. 1 overall pick in the SI mock draft.

Garrett Wilson was the first Jets' player chosen, landing at No. 19 overall. Going in Round 2, Gang Green's WR1 came of the board one pick after Raiders' running back Josh Jacobs and one selection before Dolphins' wide receiver Jaylen Waddle.

No quarterbacks were taken until later in the second round with the Bills' Josh Allen being the 22nd overall pick followed by the Chiefs' Patrick Mahomes at No. 24.

Coming off his ACL injury, Jets' running back Breece Hall opened Round 3 of the fantasy draft as the first pick (No. 25 overall). Bengals' receiver Tee Higgins was the next selection.

Gang Green's new starting quarterback Aaron Rodgers was still available at the conclusion of Round 10. Earlier this month, Fabiano specifically focused on Rodgers' fantasy value in SI Fantasy's “Here’s What Fantasy Managers Can Expect From Aaron Rodgers in 2023.”

“With a projection of around 4,000 passing yards and 25-28 touchdown passes, I have Rodgers ranked as the No. 14 fantasy quarterback heading into 2023 fantasy drafts," wrote Fabiano.

In 2022, Rodgers amassed 3,695 yards through the air to go along with 26 touchdown passes to 12 interceptions. The yardage total ranked 11th overall amongst NFL passing leaders and the 26 scoring strikes were the seventh most on the circuit.

Meanwhile, Fabiano officially updated his position-by-position rankings after the 2023 NFL Draft. Wilson was slotted as WR10 and Hall was tenth overall amongst running backs.

In PPR fantasy formats, Wilson amassed 217.3 points as a rookie (83 receptions, 1,103 receiving yards, 4 TD). Hall, who has added value as a pass-catcher out of the backfield, grossed 117.1 points in only 6.5 games (463 rush yards, 19 receptions, 218 receiving yards, 5 total TD).
