RODGERS WATCH: Jets Fans Set Notifications for Pat McAfee Show Wednesday Episode

Former NFL punter promotes Aaron Rodgers as upcoming guest on the streaming YouTube program

The highly-anticipated decision could be announced live on the Pat McAfee Show.

Rumored to be contemplating a trade request to the New York Jets, Green Bay quarterback Aaron Rodgers is slated to join the YouTube program on March 15 at 1:00 pm ET.

Former NFL punter Pat McAfee, who has established himself as a national media personality, advertised Rodgers’ scheduled appearance through a tweet that had been viewed approximately 6.1 million times as of March 14 at 7:30 pm ET.

In his most-recent public comments, Rodgers told former Jets receiver Brandon Marshall, “Stay tuned. It won’t be long. There’s a time limit to all this.”

Since missing out on free agent quarterback Derek Carr, the Jets have employed a full-court press to secure Rodgers. The Super Bowl XLV Most Valuable Player has not yet formally requested a trade from the Packers, who are currently on the hook for the nearly $60 million guaranteed in Rodgers’ contract.

SI’s Albert Breer reported that Rodgers, who will earn $59.465 million in cash if he plays in 2023, would count $15.74 million against his team’s salary cap.

Heading into what would be his 19th professional season, Rodgers ranks ninth overall on the NFL’s all-time passing yards (59,055) list. His 475 career touchdown passes are fifth-most in league history, only 33 scoring strikes short of Brett Favre’s total.

In 2022, the four-time NFL MVP threw 542 passes for 3,695 yards and 26 touchdowns to 12 interceptions. He averaged 6.8 yards per attempt.

Meanwhile, four different Jets quarterbacks combined for 14 touchdown passes, 14 interceptions and a 6.45 yards per pass average last season.

Wednesday’s Pat McAfee Show will begin exactly three hours before the NFL’s new league year officially kicks off.
