Lions' 2023 Preseason Schedule Finalized
The Detroit Lions have announced the dates and times of their three 2023 preseason games.
Two of the games will take place in the evening, as the opener is scheduled for 7 p.m. at Ford Field on Friday, Aug. 11.
The preseason finale is scheduled for 8 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 25, against the Carolina Panthers.
Detroit suffered one of its worst losses of the 2022 regular season against the Panthers. The defense simply could not stop its opponents' rushing attack to start the game.
Recall, former running backs coach Duce Staley and defensive line coach Todd Wash departed Detroit's coaching staff to serve in similar roles under new Panthers head coach Frank Reich.
In both of the first two weeks, Detroit is scheduled to host joint practices with both the Giants and the Jaguars at the team's Allen Park practice facility.
Detroit's finale is set to air on CBS, in front of a nationally-televised audience.
