In this story:

After losing two of their last three games, the Detroit Lions have an opportunity to get back in the win column against the Denver Broncos in Week 15.

The primetime matchup carries extra emotional weight. A win would set the Lions up with an opportunity to clinch the NFC North division title next week and all but clinch a spot in the playoffs.

It's also the first meeting between Lions coach Dan Campbell and his mentor Sean Payton. The two spent five seasons together coaching the New Orleans Saints before Campbell departed to become the head coach in Detroit.

Lions' defensive coordinator Aaron Glenn was also on that staff, working as Payton's secondary coach.

Glenn knows that the Broncos will be highly motivated by their head coach coming into Saturday's matchup. As a result, the Lions will have to be dialed in on their details in order to avoid a second consecutive loss.

"I think the one thing that coach Payton, I think, number one thing is he's very competitive. Highly, highly competitive," Glenn said. "And when you're built that way, man, you're always trying to, I don't want to say embarrass your opponent, but you're always trying to play the game at the highest level. I don't know if embarrass is a word to use, I just think he's gonna try to get those guys to play at a high level just like we do. So we've got to go out there and get our guys to play at a high level also."
