Every week, All Panthers publisher Schuyler Callihan will release a fresh set of NFC Power Rankings. Here is how he views the conference after one week of play.

This week's rankings (last week's rank if changed)

16. Arizona Cardinals

The Cards blew a 20-point lead to the Giants. You have to feel for their fans. This is going to be a long year for the folks in the desert.

15. Chicago Bears

The Bears are in trouble, but no one wants to admit it. In all honesty, I think they are only a smidge better than the Cardinals, who may be the worst team in the NFL.

14. Carolina Panthers

Defensively, the Panthers are pretty stout. The offense is the issue. Can the big guys up front do a better job of protecting Bryce Young? Can he make more plays downfield?

13. Washington Commanders

Whew. Washington got lucky last week. They gave up a Hail Mary at the end of the game but fortunately for them, the Broncos whiffed on the two-point conversion to send the game to OT.

12. Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Tampa is 2-0, but I'm not ready to declare them a serious contender in the NFC South.

11. Los Angeles Rams (10)

L.A. and the Niners were tied at half but San Francisco owned the second half. Still, not a bad showing for the Rams.

10. Green Bay Packers (8)

The Packers played a really good game in Atlanta, losing on a field goal at the end. Can't ding them too hard here.

9. Atlanta Falcons (11)

Similar to Tampa, I'm not quite ready to believe in the Falcons but I am encouraged by their run game and defense through two weeks.

8. New York Giants (9)

Man, the Giants are lucky I didn't drop them in the rankings. Probably should have. Not sure how they looked so bad against the Cardinals.

7. Minnesota Vikings

The best 0-2 team in all of football. I'm not dropping the Vikings for losing to the Eagles. Slow start, but they battled back and had a chance at the end.

6. New Orleans Saints

The worst 2-0 team in all of football? Eh, maybe the worst 2-0 offense. The Saints' defense is legit and if the other side of the ball starts putting things together, look out.

5. Detroit Lions (4)

Overtime loss means a swap with Seattle.

4. Seattle Seahawks (5)

Overtime win means a swap with Detroit.

3. San Francisco 49ers

It's going to be hard to put the Niners ahead of the Cowboys or Eagles anytime soon, but man, they're playing some good football right now.

2. Dallas Cowboys

Cowboys win convincingly again and are clearly the second-best team in the NFC right now.

1. Philadelphia Eagles

Philly wins, they remain atop the rankings.
