Roster Cuts
- DL Tashawn Bowser
- TE/DE Rashod berry
- DL Xavier Williams
- WR Isaiah Zuber
- RB J.J. Taylor
- K Nick Folk - Well then. Just when we all thought fifth-round pick Justin Rohrwasser was cut because the Patriots chose Nick Folk to be their kicker, the team then releases Folk. Expect Folk to be back with the team soon.
- K Justin Rohrwasser - Rohrwasser was selected in the fifth round of the NFL Draft this year by the Patriots. He really struggled during training camp, which prompted New England to sign Nick Folk, who spent time with the Patriots last season. Folk easily outperformed Rohrwasser over the last two weeks, which is why Rohrwasser is now a free agent.
- TE Jake Burt
- LB Cassh Maluia - This was a bit of a surprise. Maluia had an impressive camp, and based on the shortage of talent at the linebacker this year for the Patriots Maluia seemed like a good candidate to make the 53-man roster. Look for the Patriots to grab him again and place him on the practice squad if he makes it through waivers.
- CB Myles Bryant
- LB Scoota Harris
- CB D'Angelo Ross
- TE Paul Quessenberry
- DL Nick Thurman
- WR Devin Ross - Ross started out as one of the most productive receivers in camp, but it wasn’t consistent enough throughout the remainder of camp to stay on the regular season roster. If he clears waivers, he is a prime candidate for the practice squad.
- LB Terez Hall
- DT Bill Murray
- RB Lamar Miller - When Miller joined the Patriots he was projected to be one of the top backs out of New England’s backfield if healthy. However, he didn’t hit the practice field until this week, so the Patriots coaching staff likely couldn’t evaluate him enough to merit keeping him on the 53-man roster. The Patriots could potentially put him on the practice squad to stash him as he works back from his torn ACL.
- OL Tyler Gauthier
- WR Andre Baccellia
- QB Brian Lewerke
- TE Paul Butler
- OL Ben Braden
- WR Jeff Thomas - Thomas was one of the most highly coveted pass catchers in the undrafted rookie class this year. He is being cut, but there's a chance he could end up on New England's practice squad. But he must clear waivers and agree to re-sign with the Patriots in order for that to happen.
- CB Michael Jackson
- DT Michael Barnett
- WR Mohamed Sanu - Sanu was acquired by the Patriots in exchange for a second-round draft pick in Oct. of last season. This year he entered the season with a $6.5 million cap hit, which the team must have felt was a bit high considering how little he had produced last year and this summer.
