Cleveland Browns Fans React to "The Move" On November 6, 1995, Cleveland Browns owner Art Modell (citing his crushing debts) officially announced the team would move to Baltimore for the 1996 NFL season. Even though the Browns were 39-57 in the '90s, their average attendance since 1990 (over 70,000) was fourth in the league. Needless to say, Browns fans did not take the news so well...
