Miami Dolphins 'Trying Hard' To Sign Baltimore Ravens Free Agent WR Odell Beckham Jr.

Baltimore Ravens free agent wideout Odell Beckham Jr. met with the Miami Dolphins, and a contract offer could be coming soon.

Back on March 21, OBJ met with Dolphins officials, and the meeting reportedly went well enough for Miami to now be contemplaing an contract offer per ESPN's Jeremy Fowler.

"The Miami Dolphins are trying pretty hard to sign Odell Beckham," Fowler said. "They've made him, I'm told, at least one contract offer, possibly two. They've been in contact with him and his representatives. They're not quite there yet.

"There has not been that financial gulf bridged. I'm told Beckham is willing to wait if he has to just a little bit, he's done this in the past, certainly wants to go to the right fit. But there is interest mutually in Miami."

The Dolphins have already offered Beckham a contract, that was apparently turned down by OBJ. However it appears Miami is interested enough to revisit the deal and increase the offer.

The Ravens showed interest - at least on the surface - in bringing back free agent wideout Odell Beckham Jr. to Ravens Flock. But the two parties have yet to get together to discuss.

Beckham played last season in Baltimore on a one-year deal after recovering from an ACL tear suffered in the Super Bowl while he played for the Rams in 2021. The former LSU Tiger missed the entire 2022 season while rehabbing his injury.

Beckham made $16 million last season in Baltimore and posted 35 catches for 565 yards and three touchdowns.

In Miami, OBJ would most likely be third in the wideout pecking order behind Hill and Waddle, as he was in Baltimore behind rookie Zay Flowers and the tight end combination of Mark Andrews and Isaiah Likely.

In February, Ravens general manager Eric DeCosta spoke at the NFL Scouting Combine and suggested a possible return of OBJ to Charm City in 2024.

“We’ve just texted,” DeCosta said. “He’s a great, great guy. I love Odell.

“He’s become a great friend of mine and a friend to the Ravens, and I think we’ll just kind of assess and see what happens over the next couple of weeks.”

So far, there are no reports of any further communication between Beckham and the Ravens.
