Ex-Ravens CB Deion Sanders Might Need Foot Amputated

Sanders is currently filming "Thee Pregame Show" as he prepares for his first season at the University of Colorado. In a portion of an episode that aired Friday on YouTube, Sanders allowed cameras inside a meeting with doctors who are monitoring his progress and possible next steps after having two toes amputated due to poor circulation.

Former Baltimore Ravens cornerback Deion Sanders is preparing for his first season as head coach of the Colorado Buffaloes. But he might have to coach this upcoming season while standing on one foot.

"You just have to understand what the risks are. Things can cascade," one doctor said, adding that Sanders might not just lose another toe but "could lose the foot."

Sanders complained about no feeling in the bottom of his left foot. He said if there's anything that can be done about it, he would like to do it right away before the college football season starts.

"Well, I know what risks are," Sanders replied. "I only have eight toes. So, I'm pretty sure I understand. I want to do it this summer because when we get rolling, I'm not going to have time to do it. This is the best downtime I have."

Sanders had two toes amputated in 2021 and missed three games coaching at Jackson State.

Sanders is already making an impact on the Buffaloes, as Colorado sold out their spring game in April and has already sold out their allotment of season tickets for the first time in almost 30 years.
