OL Tyler Guyton & WR Devontez Walker Are Baltimore Ravens 'Ideal Top Two Picks?'

The Baltimore Ravens have clear needs on the offensive line and at receiver, but will they fill both needs in the first two rounds of the 2024 NFL Draft?

It's not a matter of if, but when the Baltimore Ravens are going to take an offensive lineman and receiver, but when they take a player at each position.

Will it come in the first two rounds of the 2024 NFL Draft? Chad Reuter, a draft analyst for NFL.com, picked the ideal top two draft picks for each team in the draft and for the Ravens, he tabbed Oklahoma offensive tackle Tyler Guyton as their first-round pick and North Carolina receiver Devontez Walker as their second-round pick.

With Guyton, Reuter believes the Ravens will add a versatile offensive tackle who can slide in at right tackle after they traded Morgan Moses earlier this offseason to the New York Jets. He could also slide to the left side after this season if Baltimore moves on from left tackle Ronnie Stanley.

It's also worth noting that the Ravens found success when drafting current Cincinnati Bengals left tackle Orlando Brown Jr. out of Oklahoma in the third round in 2018.

"Left tackle Ronnie Stanley has missed 36 games due to injuries over the past four seasons, and Baltimore traded right tackle Morgan Moses to the Jets this offseason," Reuter writes. "They should love finding the large (6-foot-8, 322 pounds) and agile (he performed the three-cone drill in 7.5 seconds) Guyton, who can play on either side of the line, available late in the first."

Walker only played in eight games after spending much of the 2023 season battling the NCAA for eligibility but still made an impact for the Tar Heels. He caught 41 passes for 699 yards and seven touchdowns. Walker also had an impressive showing at the NFL Scouting Combine, running a 4.36 40-yard dash.

"Walker could be a steal late in the second round for a Ravens squad in need of another receiver," Reuter writes. "Second-year star Zay Flowers could make plays from the slot with Walker and Rashod Bateman, who is entering a contract year, lining up outside."

If the Ravens are going to get the most out of their offense next season, they need to protect Lamar Jackson and get another weapon to help open things up. In Guyton and Walker, Baltimore would be addressing both needs and setting Jackson up to potentially improve on his MVP season from 2023.
