'Full-Go!' Ravens Odell Beckham Jr. Back From Knee Injury

The Baltimore Ravens received good news on Tuesday as head coach John Harbaugh revealed Odell Beckham Jr., has been medically cleared.

The signing of Odell Beckham Jr. excited the Baltimore Ravens and their fans; while a $15 million, one-year contract coming off of a lengthy absence due to an ACL injury might scare most, the former Los Angeles Rams receiver is set to make his return.

Speaking with the media on Tuesday, Ravens head coach John Harbaugh gave the Ravens' Flock the news they've been waiting for regarding Beckham, saying that he has been cleared for action after a full season on the sidelines.

"He's going to be full-go in terms of health and all that, but I also expect us to ramp up a lot of our guys," Harbaugh said. "We've got to see where guys are at. We're not going to be in a hurry to throw guys out there too much, [with] too many reps. We want to get a feel for everything."

A ramp-up period is nothing unusual for players coming off an injury like Beckham's. The Ravens want to do everything they can to protect their new signing ahead of the season, so fans shouldn't expect to see highlights of him being "full-go" in practice just yet.

Speaking of his own health, Beckham stated that he doesn't feel pain when he gets out of bed anymore. Additionally, he said he is happy to know that he can break out a sprint if needed.

"It feels good to feel like if I needed to take off running right now, I could take off running," Beckham said. It's been a long journey this time around, and it was a long process. So I just have to take that for what it was."

Nobody has seen the former 2014 first-round draft pick in pads on a football field since he tore his ACL in the Super Bowl win with the Los Angeles Rams. Getting that first look will be a good feeling for the Ravens after many called their signing of OBJ a gamble.

In addition to taking it step by step on the field as he gets used to playing football again, Beckham will be tasked with learning the Ravens' new offense led by coordinator Todd Monken. The pair have a history, as they worked together with the Cleveland Browns in 2019.

Beckham has arrived in Baltimore hoping to prove he can still be a No. 1 wide receiver in the NFL, which is exactly what the Ravens are looking for.
