Ravens WR Odell Beckham Jr. 'Excited' For Training Camp
As the 2023 NFL season draws closer and closer, so does the Baltimore Ravens debut for former Pro Bowl receiver Odell Beckham Jr.
The Ravens went to great lengths to overhaul their receiving corps this offseason, and signing Beckham was easily the biggest move they made to do so. The 2014 first-round pick had a blazing start to his career with the New York Giants, posting at least 1,300 yards and 10 touchdowns in each of his first three seasons. Most recently, he helped the Los Angeles Rams win Super Bowl LVI, although he missed the entire 2022 season after tearing his ACL in the big game.
Over a year and a half later, Beckham is eagerly looking forward to getting back on the field as training camp kicks off in just a few days.
"I'm excited. It's been a long time having to sit out and watch other people and not get to play," Beckham said, per the Ravens' official site. "I've been waiting for this moment for a long time.
"I think I've always been like this, always looking to be motivated, looking to be great. So I think at the end of the day, my story will be about resiliency and just being able to bounce back time after time."
Of course, Beckham is now with an entirely new team, one that has plenty to be excited about coming into the season. He's joining an offense that features a star dual-threat quarterback in Lamar Jackson, a new coordinator in Todd Monken, and the previously-mentioned revamped receiving corps. Needless to say, the prospect of joining such an offense has Beckham quite excited.
"I'm excited about this team, we have a crazy team, crazy receivers," Beckham said. It's safe to say that Ravens fans are equally looking forward to seeing their new star receiver in action, and with training camp set to kick off this week, they won't have to wait much longer.
