'No Time For Excuses' After Slow Start to Season Says Ravens' Odell Beckham Jr.

Baltimore Ravens receiver Odell Beckham Jr. has already missed time this season due to injury, but he isn't offering any excuses for his slow start to the year.

When the Baltimore Ravens signed Odell Beckham Jr. during the offseason, one of the biggest question marks was whether he could stay healthy. Well, after just one game (Week 1 vs. the Houston Texans), Odell suffered an ankle injury.

That kept him out of the next two games before he returned last week against the Pittsburgh Steelers. But Beckham Jr. couldn't finish the game.

After having a setback-free preseason, then getting injured in the first week was the first test that Beckham Jr. revealed that he failed - but after a slow start to the season, he isn't one for using the injury as an excuse.

"I was doing such a great job early on and hadn't been thrown many tests leading into training camp, and I feel like I semi-failed the test God gave me," Beckham said via the team's official website

"Realizing that is a step of growth. To now embrace this new challenge and find a way to be productive with whatever opportunities I do have, that's just the bottom line. Make the most of what you get. There's no time for excuses or putting blame here or there. I'm a man. I take my wins and my losses. I've just got to come out and be better, plain and simple, and do whatever I can to help this team win."

Odell Beckham Jr. is looking forward to getting back to his old self against the Titans in London.

Being productive is what Beckham Jr. wanted entering the year, but things haven't gone smoothly as Odell's best return was a two-catch, 37-yard game in Week 1 vs. the Texans.

In his return against the Steelers, Beckham Jr. had just two catches for 13 yards, bringing his season total to seven catches for 79 yards in three games.

But as Baltimore faces the Tennessee Titans in London, Odell is hoping that he can return to form on what will be a big stage.

"There's something about pressure and the biggest stage that drives me even more," Beckham said. "How can I get back on track? How can I be the person that I know I'm capable of being? I would absolutely love that to start this Sunday."

Lamar Jackson has so many weapons at his disposal, and getting Beckham Jr. involved would go a long way to the Ravens getting back on the winner's list.
