Baltimore Ravens Crush Seattle Seahawks 37-3 For Fourth Straight Win

The Baltimore Ravens showed no mercy to their avian brethren in a 37-3 beatdown of the Seattle Seahawks.

Throughout the season, the Baltimore Ravens have won in two very different ways.

Either they completely crush their opposition, such as in their 38-6 win over the Detroit Lions, or they keep the game close all the way through, like in their 31-24 win over the Arizona Cardinals last week. The dominant Ravens were the ones to show up on Sunday, as they thoroughly dominated the Seattle Seahawks in a 37-3 blowout victory at M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore.

After a scoreless first quarter, the Ravens took control of the game and never looked back. They took a 17-3 lead into halftime, then scored 20 more unanswered points in the second half to kill any remaining hope the Seahawks may have had.

Baltimore's defense thoroughly dominated in this game, allowing just 151 total yards and six first downs. The Ravens also forced two turnovers, one interception and one fumble, while sacking Seahawks quarterback Geno Smith four times. Some of the defensive standouts include linebacker Patrick Queen, who had a game-high six tackles including one for a loss, and pass-rusher Kyle Van Noy, who had his second multi-sack game of the season.

On the other side of the ball, the Ravens essentially moved the ball at will for a season-high 515 yards and 29 first downs. Lamar Jackson completed 21 of 26 passes for 187 yards while also rushing for 60 yards on 10 carries. While not his best game statistically, Jackson was more than efficient enough for the Ravens to dominate, and he even got to take most of the fourth quarter off as Tyler Huntley got some reps.

Baltimore's rushing game was in peak form on Sunday, racking up 298 yards on nearly eight yards per attempt. Gus Edwards continued his strong stretch, rushing for two touchdowns a week after he scored three. The breakout star of the game was rookie running back Keaton Mitchell, who rushed nine times for 138 yards and his first career touchdown.

Mark Andrews was the Ravens' leading receiver, catching nine passes for 80 yards. Odell Beckham Jr. also had his best game of the season, catching five passes for 56 yards and his first touchdown as a Raven.

Smith completed 13 of 28 passes for 157 yards for Seattle, while rookie Jaxon Smith-Njigba was the team's leading receiver with six catches for 63 yards. The Seahawks' run game was largely ineffective as they had just 29 rushing yards on 14 carries.

Now at 7-2, tied for the best record in the AFC, the Ravens turn their attention to a huge divisional showdown against the Cleveland Browns next week.
