Baltimore Ravens linebacker Roquan Smith talked about the team's defensive performance after a 38-6 win over the Detroit Lions at home.

"As I look at it, man, from top to bottom, d-line, linebackers, secondary, I don't really see any weaknesses," Smith said. "And if we're all on our game, it's very hard to move the ball on us, especially score. I know they got that one late but hey, live to fight another day. We'll bounce back."

Coming into the game Detroit was statistically a top five offense, ranking third in yards per game at 383.7 and fourth in points per game at 28. The Ravens stifled the opposing offense, only allowing one touchdown all game while forcing four punts, three turnovers on downs and an interception. The Lions were only able to muster up one red zone drive which they didn't score any points on.

The Baltimore Ravens defense held the Detroit Lions to 4.4 yards per pass.

Smith was all over the field collecting eight tackles, which was tied for the team-high, along with one pass defended. Baltimore's defense registered five sacks, four tackles for loss and six passes defended as a whole. Before the game, Detroit hadn't scored less than 20 points in a game all season.

After seven weeks (before Monday Night Football), Smith is tied for fourth in the NFL in tackles with 63. He is the focal point and heartbeat of one of the top defenses in the NFL.

He found himself with the Ravens in the middle of last season after they traded for him from the Chicago Bears, who in return acquired A.J. Klein, a 2023 second round pick and a 2023 fifth round pick. He finished the season strong, making his first Pro Bowl and being named to First Team All-Pro.

Smith and the Ravens will head on the road next week to take on the Arizona Cardinals on Oct. 29 at 4:25 p.m.
