Ravens Offense 'Chasing Consistency' After Detroit Lions Blowout, Says Lamar Jackson

In this story:
The Baltimore Ravens showed the entire NFL world what they are capable of on offense against the Detroit Lions. But part of what makes a good team is its ability to continue to produce performances that get winning results.
So while the Ravens showed off their blistering offense against the Lions, we haven't seen it come together through the first part of the season like that.
Quarterback Lamar Jackson is keeping a level head after such a dominating performance and is preaching consistency ahead of a clash against the 1-6 Arizona Cardinals.
“Right now we just chasing to be consistent, that's one game [vs. Lions] you know we had a couple games where we was good, and then the next week is like, oh what's going on with the offense and stuff like that. So right now, we just trying to chase the consistency.”
Against Detroit, Jackson looked like the 2019 MVP version of himself as he carved up the Lions' defense as he went 21/27 for 357 yards and three touchdowns while also rushing for 36 yards and a touchdown.
After such a commanding performance against what many think will be an NFC contender come January, Jackson isn't interested in any outside noise, both good and bad.
“I'm trying to win so week in week out I'm just focusing on winning,” Jackson said. “Because that's what it's come down to. You know long as you winning that's when you getting all the praise and stuff like that but once you lose or things don't look right that's when the praise and stuff turns into something else, so I'm just focusing on winning we'll go from there.”
Next up for the 5-2 Ravens are the Cardinals, and Jackson and Co will be looking to build on their efforts against the Lions.
While Arizona is currently 1-6, it hasn't been blown out yet this year (biggest loss vs. San Francisco 49ers 35-16).
While rookie Zay Flowers stated earlier in the week that Baltimore's mentality stays the same each week, this looms as a trap game for a team that isn't the most consistent despite its 5-2 record.
But if the Ravens' offense can replicate its performance against Detroit at the University of Phoenix Stadium, the Cardinals will have their work cut out for them in slowing down this high-octane offense.
