In this story:

Viewed via a strictly Baltimore Ravens prism, there is really only one response to the Baker Mayfield reflection from his days with the Cleveland Browns that were pockmarked by an in-house "beef'' with star wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr.

And that one response? The Ravens and their fans dang sure hope the same thing doesn't happen here.

"We're good now," Mayfield said this week on an edition of The Pat McAfee Show on ESPN.

But that obviously requires a "but'' ... and indeed, the relationship between the (way-too emotional) QB and the (way-too temperamental) receiver is part of the reason that Beckham worked his way out of town in 2021 - only to land with a Los Angeles Rams team that he helped advance to a win in the Super Bowl.

OBJ has expressed some regrets about his relationships during his time with the Browns, which reportedly deteriorated early on because of Beckham being frustrated with Mayfield's inability to get him the ball.

What OBJ may not have realized at the time? No offense to Mayfield, a premium pick of the Browns, but the quarterback still isn't exactly elite when it comes to "getting the ball'' to anybody as he now tries to build a career with the Tampa Bay Bucs.

"That's part of me growing as a person,'' said Mayfield of feeling like the feud is over. "Normally, I would hold a lot of grudges, but no, we're good. We squashed that."

And when it comes to Beckham engaging in any emotional conflicts now that he's signed on for the 2023 season in Baltimore? Ravens fans are hoping for him to help like he did with the Super Bowl Rams ... and not like he did with the woebegone Browns.
