Baltimore Ravens receiver Rashod Bateman has resumed running after his season-ending surgery in November.

In a video that surfaced on Twitter Wednesday, Bateman was seen running for the first time since undergoing Lisfranc surgery over five months ago. Running again is a great sign for the third-year receiver's recovery.

Prior to his injury, Bateman was enjoying a nice second season for the Ravens. In just six games, he had 15 reception for 285 yards, an average of 19 yards per reception, and two touchdowns. If he had remained healthy, he likely would have been Baltimore's leading receiver behind tight end Mark Andrews.

Unfortunately for Bateman and the Ravens, that isn't what happened. He first suffered a foot injury on Oct. 2 against the Buffalo Bills and missed the next two games as a result. He then reaggravated the injury against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Oct. 27. While Jim Harbaugh initially said Bateman's injury would only keep him out a few weeks, he chose to undergo season-ending Lisfranc surgery to treat his injury.

Without Bateman, Baltimore's already thin receiver group became even thinner. In the six games he played in 2022, he averaged 47.5 receiving yards per game. No other Ravens wide receiver averaged more than 30, except for Sammy Watkins who averaged 39.7 but only played three games.

After years of having an underwhelming receiver corps, the Ravens have made efforts to fix it this offseason. They've already signed Odell Beckham Jr. and are still in the mix for current Arizona Cardinals receiver DeAndre Hopkins. Even with those moves, Bateman's return alone would be huge for the Ravens' offense.
