Tre'Quan Smith Activated from IR, Saints Announce Saturday Roster Moves

The Saints had eight roster moves to announce on Saturday, which included Tre'Quan Smith officially returning to the team.

As we pay close attention to what happens in the NFC Divisional game between the Rams and Packers, the Saints dropped some Saturday roster moves ahead of their matchup against the Bucs.

Tre'Quan Smith has been officially activated off injured reserve, while Will Clapp was moved to the Reserve/COVID-19 list. Meanwhile, the team is also bringing up Cameron Tom and Chase Hansen up from the practice squad. They also had some practice squad moves, signing kicker Blair Walsh and long snapper John Denney and terminating the contracts of Tommylee Lewis and Anthony Zettel.

Smith missed time due to an ankle injury after missing the final two weeks of the regular season and the Wild Card round. He does a lot for the run blocking offense the Saints have, but can also catch a few targets depending on the game's ebb and flow. New Orleans enters Sunday having ruled out Patrick Robinson (hamstring) on their final injury report, while Taysom Hill (knee) and Latavius Murray (quad) are both questionable.
