Devin Bush Hypes Up 'Powerhouse' Seahawks

Seattle Seahawks linebacker Devin Bush proudly claimed that the team will be a force to be reckoned with this season.

The Seattle Seahawks secured their first win of the 2023 season on Thursday night, defeating the Minnesota Vikings 24-13 in a preseason match at Lumen Field.

While it may have been just an exhibition game, starting off on the right foot is still something to be proud of. Seattle is expecting this to be the first of many wins on the season as it looks to build on a surprise playoff appearance last year.

The Seahawks are positive they can improve from last year and become true contenders, with linebacker Devin Bush being perhaps the most confident player. After the win over Minnesota, Bush, who had six total tackles in the game, proudly declared that the Seahawks will be a team to watch out for this season.

"I feel like we are the powerhouse in this division. I feel like it’s ours to lose,'' Bush told reporters.

Winning the NFC West, which the Seahawks last did in 2020, would be a huge step forward. If they can build on last year's success, then they could have a shot at the division.

The Seahawks should be better than the Arizona Cardinals and Los Angeles Rams, but the San Francisco 49ers will be the biggest test. San Francisco won all three matchups against Seattle last season, including one in the playoffs, and none of those games were particularly close. If the Seahawks want to win the division, they must be better against the 49ers this time around.

For now, though, Bush's confidence so early on is a welcome sight for Seahawks fans.
