Seahawks Ex Richard Sherman To Join Skip Bayless On 'Undisputed'
Seattle Seahawks legend Richard Sherman is moving up in the sports media world, as he will reportedly become a new co-host for Fox Sports' hit show "Undisputed."
According to the New York Post, the former NFL corner is set to join the controversial Skip Bayless on the set of the popular talk show. Sherman has reportedly not signed on yet, but he has an agreement in place.
Rumors of Sherman joining Bayless in the studio began circulating last month when the Post reported as such. Now, it seems talks have progressed and are now in the final stages.
Bayless has been looking for a new co-host since June, when Hall of Fame tight end Shannon Sharpe officially left the show. The show has been on hiatus since then as the search for a replacement continues, although it is scheduled to resume on Aug. 28.
However, it seems that Sherman won't be on the show each and every day. According to the Post, Sherman will appear on "50-100 shows per year, mostly during football season." Fox Sports is reportedly still looking at other potential hosts, with some rumored candidates being former NFL receiver and ESPN analyst Keyshawn Johnson and rapper Lil' Wayne.
Last season, Sherman began working for Amazon as an analyst on Thursday Night Football. He will reportedly retain his role at Amazon even as he joins "Undisputed."
In his playing days, Sherman was arguably the best corner of his era. In eight seasons in Seattle, Sherman was a three-time first-team All-Pro selection and a staple of the Seahawks legendary "Legion of Boom" defense, winning Super Bowl XLVIII along the way. After leaving Seattle in 2018, he also spent time with the San Francisco 49ers and Tampa Bay Buccaneers before retiring after the 2021 season.
Sherman has never been shy about voicing his opinions, even while he was at the peak of his NFL career. Now that he's joining "Undisputed," he'll have the perfect opportunity to share those opinions with the sports world.
