In this story:

By pretty much every standard, Seattle Seahawks receiver D.K. Metcalf is an absolute freak of nature.

After all, it's not every day that someone who stands at 6-4 and 235 pounds can run a sub-4.4 second 40-yard dash. That's to say nothing of the sheer athleticism it takes to go up against NFL corners, some of the best athletes in the world, and beat them routinely.

With Metcalf's unique blend of physique and athleticism, one would probably expect him to have an ultra-strict diet to maintain it. However, that is actually far from the case. When sitting down with Kevin Garnett on the NBA legend's Showtime program KG Certified, Metcalf revealed his bizarre diet with an unexpected focus on sweets.

"I'm probably the worst person to ask that [about nutrition]," Metcalf said. "I'm a candy type person. I eat one meal a day, drink one coffee and eat like three full bags of candy."

As Garnett was thoroughly confused by Metcalf's response, the Seahawks receiver proceeded to break down a typical day from a dietary standpoint. Metcalf claims that after working out twice in the morning, he gets a coffee from Starbucks at noon, then has his gummy candies at 4-5 p.m., and finishes the day with dinner at 8-9 p.m.

It's an unusual diet plan for sure, especially for a professional athlete of Metcalf's caliber. If it works for him, though, then that's all that truly matters.
