Geno Smith is coming off a career year with the Seattle Seahawks in a season that saw them finish 9-8 and with an unlikely playoff appearance. Smith finished with 4,282 yards passing on 399 completions, with 30 touchdowns to just 11 interceptions. 

Smith also won Pro Bowl honors and the NFL Comeback Player of the Year award. All of this on the heels of an offseason that saw Seattle trade away franchise quarterback Russell Wilson, tempering expectations for 2022.

And now, it appears Smith is itching to get back on the field and begin the 2023 campaign. After working out with receivers at the UCLA practice field, Smith posted a video on Twitter that's gone viral.

"Keep spinning!" Smith wrote, adding a trio of tornado emojis.

Smith won the starting job over Drew Lock after the Wilson trade in training camp last season. Seattle is Smith's fourth NFL team after stints with the New York Jets, New York Giants and Los Angeles Chargers. Last season was his first Week 1 start since 2014, and he took full advantage with an emotional home win over Wilson and the Denver Broncos.

In March, Smith and the Seahawks agreed to a three-year, $105 million contract extension, with a base value of $25 million per season.
