In this story:

Seattle Seahawks associate head coach and defensive assistant Sean Desai completed a second interview with the Philadelphia Eagles on Monday as he looks fill their vacancy at defensive coordinator, per reports from NFL Network.

The Eagles bringing Desai back for another interview could signal that the team views him as top candidate and wanted to confirm their thoughts by speaking to him a second time.

The Eagles lost defensive coordinator Jonathan Gannon, who will now be facing the Seahawks twice a year as head coach of the Arizona Cardinals. As for Desai, he now has a chance to get hired into a role that likely gives him the best shot of winning a ring.

Desai recently withdrew his name from consideration for the Minnesota Vikings defensive coordinator job to focus on landing the same title with the Denver Broncos. However, that race ended when Vance Joseph was named Sean Payton's defensive coordinator on Thursday.

Should he land the Philly job, Desai could potentially lead an elite Eagles defense that was the runaway leader in sacks (70) this past season while also finishing with the third-best turnover differential and allowing the second-fewest yards per game (301.5).
