Seattle Seahawks To Bring Back Throwback Uniforms vs. Dallas Cowboys In Week 13

In this story:
The day Seattle Seahawks fans have long been waiting for has finally arrived as the team will break out its 1990s royal blue throwback uniforms for Sunday's home game against the Cleveland Browns.
Before that, though, Seattle confirmed that these beautiful threads won't be just a one-time thing. The Seahawks announced on Thursday that they will bust out the throwbacks for a second time this season when they face the Dallas Cowboys on Nov. 30.
While Sunday's game will take place in the home confines of Lumen Field, the later game will be at Dallas' AT&T Stadium. The Cowboys are one of the few teams to primarily wear white jerseys at home, which opens the door for the Seahawks to wear royal blue for a second time. The resulting matchup should be an absolute treat for uniform enthusiasts everywhere.
This announcement isn't entirely unprecedented, as Bob Condotta of The Seattle Times reported as such back in June. Still, seeing it officially confirmed is sure to delight the Seattle faithful.
Since officially revealing the throwback uniforms back in July, the Seahawks have fully embraced the 90s aesthetic. The announcement video was rife with 90s nostalgia, featuring items such as the Nintendo 64, Nirvana posters and signs for The Kingdome, where the Seahawks played until 1999. The team also revealed a slick throwback field design for the big debut on Sunday.

While the Seahawks are embracing the 90s, they actually wore this jersey from their inaugural season in 1976 until 2001, with only minor variations in between.
NFL teams can wear alternate uniforms, including throwbacks, a maximum of three times per season, so it's theoretically possible for the retro threads to make a third appearance. However, it seems more likely that the Seahawks will instead breakout their "Action Green" jerseys, which they already announced would be returning at some point this season.
