Davante Adams Shuts Down Steelers Trade Rumors

In this story:
PITTSBURGH -- The Pittsburgh Steelers are reportedly looking for a veteran wide receiver to add alongside George Pickens this season. So far, names like Brandon Aiyuk and Tee Higgins have come up, but an interesting name that has been theorized throughout the offseason has been Davante Adams.
Unfortunately, for those holding out hope that Adams was eventually going to make his way to the Steelers, it feels that ship has sailed.
The Athletic's Tashan Reed spoke with Adams at his youth football camp and asked about a potential move. Adams shut down any rumors, saying, "If I wanted to be gone, I'd be gone by now. ... This is where I want to be."

All Steelers Talk discussed a possible trade between the Steelers and Las Vegas Raiders last week, coming up with the belief that Pittsburgh could land the veteran for cheaper than most other options on the trade market. That is all but over now that Adams is saying publicly he wants to stay.
Adams, 31, is coming off a1,144-yard season with eight touchdowns. In 2022, he put up a league-leading 14 scores, showcasing he's got plenty left in the tank during his first year with the Raiders.
The Steelers have been linked to Aiyuk throughout the last few weeks, and if Adams is off the table, they'll likely continue working on a move with the San Francisco 49ers.
