Houston Legend Warren Moon 'Proud' of Super Bowl QBs Patrick Mahomes and Jalen Hurts

Warren Moon took to Twitter to offer praise to both Patrick Mahomes and Jalen Hurts for making the Super Bowl.

With the conference championship round of the NFL playoffs officially in the books, we have the two teams who will meet on Feb. 12 for a chance to hoist the Lombardi Trophy.

The Kansas City Chiefs, with a 23-20 victory over the Cincinnati Bengals, will face off against the Philadelphia Eagles, who had little trouble taking care of the San Francisco 49ers in a 31-7 blowout win.

Kansas City and Philadelphia will be making NFL history in the Super Bowl, as it will be the first Super Bowl to feature two black starting quarterbacks.

Patrick Mahomes of the Chiefs and Jalen Hurts of the Eagles, the two respective quarterbacks, received praise on Twitter from former Houston Oilers quarterback Warren Moon on Sunday.

Prior to his NFL career, Moon signed with the Edmonton Eskimos in the CFL out of college rather than opting to be a late-round NFL draft pick. As a member of the Eskimos Moon won five Grey Cups, earning two Grey Cup MVPs. In those five seasons he threw for 21,228 yards with 144 touchdowns and 77 interceptions.

Moon's success with the Eskimos prompted him to make a move to the NFL, where he would spend the first 10 seasons of his career with the Oilers. During his career as an Oiler Moon threw for 33,685 yards and 196 touchdowns with 166 interceptions.
