The Houston Texans have announced the release date for their newest Rivalries uniforms for the 2026 NFL season.

And it looks like the release of those new uniforms for Houston sits right around the corner.

When the Texans Are Releasing Their Rivalries Uniforms

The Texans put out a promotional video for their upcoming uniform release, where players around the roster reacted to the new threads for the first time.

And in that video, the Texans revealed that those uniforms will be officially unveiled to the public on Tuesday, August 25th.

The reviews from some of the players were clearly positive, which could be a sign of things to come for next week’s reveal.

"That s---- gas," said Tank Dell.

"Oh, that's tough," was what Reed Blankenship said.

"I can get jiggy with that," came from Kamari Lassiter.

And along with the release date and the reaction video from the players, the Texans also released a new teaser for the new uniforms on the horizon––where the uniform was described as a set that'll seek innovation, being different, and "the most Houston thing that you've ever seen on the gridiron."

With the Texans set to receive their Rivalries uniforms for next season, it'll be one of five uniforms that Houston will be able to wear throughout the year: their typical home and away jerseys, their all-red alternates, and their dark-blue "Space City" themed uniforms, and now, another set of alternates.

On most weeks, the Texans will be wearing their typical home and away uniforms as they typically do. But for three weeks throughout the season, Houston will bring out those alternates.

For their Rivalries set, that'll come during their Week 11 matchup against the Indianapolis Colts, a game that'll take place on Thursday Night Football at Houston in Reliant Stadium for one of the Texans' more exciting games throughout the regular season altogether.

What to Know About Texans' Rivalries Uniforms

The NFL first kicked off Rivalries uniforms across the league for the 2025 season, where the league and Nike released eight new uniforms for the AFC East and the NFC West to wear one time throughout the year for three seasons in a highlighted divisional matchup.

And the theme of those uniforms was designed to put together a more unique, modern look for each team that wore them. Nike describes the Rivalries uniforms from last season as ones that "celebrate storied local traditions and unite fan communities with designs unique to select cities and teams."

After the first two divisions got their uniforms last year, the AFC South and the NFC North would be next up on the list to receive their Rivalries uniforms in 2026. In 2027, the AFC West and NFC East will get their own.

But following a long and anticipated wait, the release of those uniforms for the 2026 slate is right around the corner for the Texans and every other team in this wave of announcements.

Expect the reveal for the Texans' Rivalries uniforms to come at 9 a.m. CT on Tuesday morning, along with the other seven teams in the mix who are in for their own.
