NASHVILLE - Recently, I authored two articles highlighting my All-Time All-Tennessee Titans Team offense and defense. The criteria for this team was that the player must have played for the Titans organization in Nashville.

Along that same line, and with the same criteria of the player having to have played for the Titans in Nashville, it's time to list my all-time top-ten Titans players since the team arrived in Nashville for their first season at Vanderbilt Stadium in 1998.

My Top-Ten All-Time Tennessee Titans

1) Bruce Matthews: The NFL Hall of Famer was not only an all-time Titan but an all-time NFL great, who not only played one position well but all five line spots equally well. He then became the offensive line coach for the Titans before retiring to his home in Texas, where he still lives today.

2) Steve "Air" McNair: The heart and soul of the early Titans teams and one of, if not the toughest, man to ever play quarterback in this league. Countless times McNair was unable to practice, yet on Sunday, when game time arrived, there he was, playing with reckless abandon and playing well despite the pain he was likely enduring. That, along with other things, is what endured No. 9 to Titans fans and will hold him here forever.

3) Eddie George: I chose George over Derrick Henry for the all-time team, and that was because of his career rushing yardage total being higher than Henry's at the moment. For that same reason, George gets the No. 3 spot ahead of Henry, but don't worry; you won't have to wait long to see Henry's name here.

4) Derrick Henry: "The King" slides into this spot, one behind George, and with another great season in 2023, Henry could surpass his fellow Heisman Trophy winner by this time next year.

5) Jevon Kearse: "The Freak" set the Nashville sports scene and the Titans on fire during his rookie season and led fans to ponder "Who Let The Dogs Out" every time he crushed another quarterback.

6) Keith Bulluck: "Mr. Monday Night," as The Voice of the Titans Mike Keith dubbed him, Bulluck was a first-round pick of the Titans and instantly became a fan favorite for his ability to make big, game-changing plays. That, along with being one of the best linebackers of his day, made the former Syracuse All-American a member of my all-time Titans top-10.

7) Derrick Mason: D-Mase was, and still is, the all-time leading receiver as a Titan, and he set the standard for every receiver that has followed him to this point in the short history of this franchise in this city.

8) Chris Johnson: The one-time fastest man in the NFL brought pure speed to the field and turned in a 2,006-yard rushing season, becoming the first Titan to join that exclusive club. Henry joined him in 2020, making this franchise the only one with two running backs in that club. He bridged the gap between George and Henry, keeping this franchise's rich history of great running back alive.

9) Albert Haynesworth: Another Titans named "Big Al" was a monster in the middle of the defensive line. When he was on his game, the former University of Tennessee standout was an unstoppable force and an immovable object.

10) Jeffery Simmons: "Big Jeff" is another Haynesworth with much more self-control-remember Hayneswoth stomping Andre Gourade. Still, Simmons might just be remembered as a better player. Still, he's good enough right now to lad here in my top-10.
