The 2023 NFL schedules have been released, and while we have known the opponents the Tennessee Titans will face this season, now that we have the dates and times, it's time to predict what this season will be like for the team.

Let's dive into a game-by-game prediction of how we think, at this moment, this season will unfold for head coach Mike Vrabel and his squad.

Titans Preseason

TBD 8/10-13 at Chicago (WKRN Nashville)

TBD 8/17-20 at Minnesota (WKRN Nashville)

TBD 8/24-27 NEW ENGLAND (WKRN Nashville)

WEEK 1:  Sept. 10 @ New Orleans Saints (Noon CBS)

This will be Derek Carr's first game as the starter for the Saints, and like the Titans, New Orleans finished a disappointing 7-10 last season. The Titans should be healthy and at full speed, plus they need to get off to a solid start. However, this Saints team feels they can win their division and compete for the NFC crown. Still, I like the Titans on opening day. Tennessee 27-24

WEEK 2: Sept. 17 L.A. Chargers  (Noon CBS)

The Chargers make their first visit to Nissan Stadium with quarterback Justin Herbert and are a team expected to compete with Kansas City in the West after finishing 10-7 a year ago. Chargers 31-17

WEEK 3: Sept. 24 @ Cleveland Browns  (Noon CBS)

The Browns are a team getting a lot of preseason hype, and having DeShaun Watson ready to go makes them a better team. Still, they finished 7-10 and are still the Browns. The Titans catch a break here, with it being an early season game in a cold weather city, and get a second win of the season. Tennessee 21-20

WEEK 4: Sept. 31, Cincinnati Bengals  (Noon FOX)

Ryan Tannehill will get another shot at Joe Burrow and the Bengals at the site of where it all went wrong for him and the Titans two years ago in the playoffs. Unfortunately, this Bengals team is better than that one, and this Titans team, at least at this point, isn't as good as that one. Cincinnati 31-17

WEEK 5: Oct.8 @ Indianapolis Colts  (Noon CBS)

Colts owner Jim Irsay despises the Titans, and losing to them is part of why he went for Anthony Richardson in the draft. Getting the Colts this early on the road is positive, as Richardson and his offense haven't had long to gel, and it should be a good bounceback trip for the Titans. Tennessee 34-10

WEEK 6:  Oct. 15- Baltimore Ravens in London, England  (8:30 a.m. NFL Network)

The Titans will be the home team in this one, which doesn't sit well with Titans fans, who wanted their hated rival Ravens in Nashville. However, too much Baltimore and Lamar Jackson in this one, as the Birds get the win across the pond.  Baltimore 24-17

WEEK 7:  BYE

WEEK 8: Oct. 29 Atlanta Falcons (Noon CBS)

Former Titans offensive coordinator Arthur Smith makes his return to Nashville to face his former squad for the first time as a head coach. Unfortunately, like the Colts, Desmond Ridder is young and still finding his way. Give me the Titans. Tennessee 27-20

WEEK 9: Nov.2 @ Pittsburgh Steelers (Thursday Night- Prime Video)

The Titans will find themselves in their first potential cold-weather game against a team that finished 9-8 a year ago and should be better with Kenny Pickett in year two in their system. Pittsburgh 28-20

WEEK 10: Nov. 12 @ Tampa Bay Buccaneers (Noon CBS)

Tom Brady is gone-at least at the moment- and the Bucs are coming off a division championship while finishing 8-9 in 2022. Baker Mayfield takes the reigns, and while he is a veteran, he's been one who has been hit or miss during his career. The Bucs have issues, but so too do the Titans. This one is a toss-up to me  PICK EM

WEEK 11: Nov.19 @ Jacksonville Jaguars  (Noon CBS)

The Titans return to the scene of the crime where they lost the South title a season ago. Trevor Lawrence and the Jags are the better team, at least on paper, until the Titans can take back the crown. Jacksonville 24-21

WEEK 12: Nov. 26 Carolina Panthers (Noon FOX)

Former Heisman winner, and the first overall pick in the 2023 draft, Bryce Young will return to the state of Tennessee for a game for the first time since he and his Alabama Crimson Tide teammates lost to the Tennessee Titans 52-49 last season in Knoxville. Bryce comes up short again. Tennessee 28-21

WEEK 13: Dec. 3 Indianapolis Colts (Noon CBS)

Richardson returns to Nashville for the first time as a pro and for the first time since he and his Florida teammates lost to Vanderbilt here a season ago. This one doesn't go his way, and it's a Titans kind of day. Tennessee 27-17

WEEK 14: Dec. 10 @ Miami Dolphins (MNF 7:15, ESPN)

The Dolphins offense, led by Tua Tagovialoa with Tyreek Hill and Jalen Waddle, is too much for the Titan as Tannehill returns to the team that drafted him. Miami 27-10

WEEK 15: Dec. 17 Houston Texans (Noon CBS)

The Titans get their first look at the quarterback they were thought to have wanted in the draft in CJ Stroud. The rookie has had time to learn and mature as a pro, having had 14 games under his belt. Still, it's not enough. Tennessee 28-10

WEEK 16: Dec. 24 Seattle Seahawks  (Noon CBS)

Geno Smith leads the Hawks into Nissan Stadium, and following a 98- campaign last season, he gets another win in 2023. Seattle 28-21

WEEK 17 : Dec 31 @ Houston Texans (Noon FOX)

The Titans spend New Year's Eve Day in their old hometown and will see Stroud and the Texans for the second time in three weeks, though the result is the same. Tennessee  24-17

WEEK 18: Jan 6 or 7 (TBD, as well as time and network)

This time the Jags come here to close the season, but Lawrence and company are still too much for the home team. Jacksonville 30-20

SUMMARY

While many believe the Titans will struggle, this weaker schedule breaks right for them to avoid any real cold weather games and spend three weekends in Florida in a five-week span. Right now, it seems, based on what we have on paper, that the Titans could finish with a winning record.

OUR PREDICTED FINISH: 8-8 with one pick'em game.

NOTE: All Kickoff times are Central Time, and some times are subject to change.
