Everything Robert Saleh Said After Titans Joint Practice With Seahawks

In this story:
The Tennessee Titans' first two joint practices of the preseason could not have been different. After an underwhelming week-one showing against the San Francisco 49ers, the Titans turned around and gave the defending-champion Seattle Seahawks all they could handle yesterday.
Cam Ward came out hot in what was much-needed war of inches for Tennessee. Sunday's follow-up game remains the most important indicator for progress this week, but fans have to be happy with how Friday's practice panned out.
Afterward, Robert Saleh spoke with the media about both the practice and his team as a whole. Here's everything he said that you may have missed.
Everyone is Available For Titans on Sunday
Once again this week, nobody is sitting out for the Titans on Sunday night. Saleh didn't specify any expected snap counts beyond confirming that "we're all playing."
Ward and the Titans starters picked up three drives in San Francisco before being relegated to the sidelines from that point on. Don't be surprised if that number increases by one or two drives, but anything beyond that would be a real surprise, especially after their extensive work in practice.
On the topic of Ward, Saleh had something to say about his quarterback, too.
"Cam Ward Had a Great Camp"
Looking back on Ward's summer performance overall, Saleh took a moment after the practice with the Seahawks to celebrate his growth. According to Saleh, Ward has "had a great camp," even given the occasional struggles that have not been hidden from Titans fans.

To that point, Saleh admitted that there are instances where Ward would like a do-over - take yesterday's pick-six as a certain example. Still, following his 5/12 passing metric in Tennessee's preseason opener, Ward going 22/28 on the day and throwing two scores can be taken as a big win for the Titans.
Another solid turn from Ward tomorrow night against Seattle, and any lingering worries from last week should be effectively buried.
Titans Defense Got Good Pressure, Competed Well
Saleh kept his analysis of the defense relatively short, but the head coach liked what he saw from Tennessee's ball-stoppers. He liked the pressure, and said that the Titans competed well. Credit to that unit, especially the secondary, they had to.
Jeffery Simmons chimed in, saying that Saleh challenged Tennessee's secondary in team meetings, which led to players like cornerback Alontae Taylor responding in a necessary way.
Taylor broke up multiple passes yesterday and dropped an interception early, redeeming himself later in practice with a pick-six off Sam Darnold that had the Titans sideline running wild. That's exactly the kind of winning play fans needed to see in joint practice, and Saleh having basically only nice things to say about the day should tell you everything you need to know.
The Titans face off against the Seahawks tomorrow night, Aug. 23, at 7:00 p.m. CT. That game will mark just one week until roster cuts are due, meaning we'll have to keep tight tabs on Tennessee from the top-down.
