NASHVILLE - The Tennessee Titans return to the practice field this week and will hold an open-to-the-media practice on Wednesday at St. Thomas Sports Park.

This will be the second OTA open to the media, following last week's open session, where all three coordinators appeared at the podium to respond to questions ahead of the practice.

Offensive coordinator Tim Kelly answered multiple questions on his new offense, including how he would distribute the reps while developing his two young quarterbacks, Malik Willis and Will Levis, and preparing Ryan Tannehill to start the season.

"That's a big part of our job, especially this time of year. So our guys, again, in the classroom, going through all the work up until this point have been good," said Kelly. "Learning, asking questions of one another. Asking questions to Charles (London), asking questions to J.O. (run game coordinator Jason Outten), asking questions of myself, or whoever can help them out with answers."

The distribution of reps among the quarterbacks will be one of many things on the agenda to follow on Wednesday, along with the continuing role of rookie offensive lineman Peter Skoronski and any changes or improvements among the receiver corps.

While it's almost assured that Tannehill will be the opening-day starter, there is a very slight possibility that could change. Then the battle between Willis and Levis for the No. 2 spot and how the Titans will handle the new emergency quarterback rule is also of interest.

As for Skoronski, he spent the majority of his first-team reps at left guard but also logged time at left tackle. Despite where he finds himself when the Titans take the field in New Orleans on Sept. 10, Skoronski's play, along with that of the rest of his linemates, will determine the fate of this team this season and how this unit shakes out will be a daily follow from now until opening day.

Perhaps the most talked about position group on this team, the receiver unit, will also be a daily follow as the season approaches. Exactly how much improvement can be made, and which of this group of young receivers will step up to earn a place among the six likely members of the initial 53-man roster?

And finally, perhaps the most overlooked position battle on the team is the kickers, where rookie Tyler Wolff will continue competing with Caleb Shudak, who spent last season splitting time between the Titans roster and their practice squad.  Shudak finished the season 3-4 on field goals and 1-1 on extra-point attempts.

While there are other areas to follow, these seem to be the ones that have garnered the most attention to this point and will be followed throughout the preseason process.
